- Comments Off on The Box Trucks Jax Experience
Hello there my fellow entrepreneurs! It’s Dylan from Box Trucks Jax!
I want to start off by wishing you and your family a Happy New Year! I hope 2024 brings you and your business much success. I decided to do something special for my first blog of the New Year.
I am going to give you a complete breakdown, from A to Z, of our process. Now, many of my customers say that buying a box truck from Box Trucks Jax is the easiest auto buying experience of their life. And I don’t mean to brag, but I have been able to complete some finance deals in under 1 hour.  Â
But I thought it would be helpful to give you a behind the scenes look at what we do, and what you can expect when you plan on getting a truck from us. So without further ado, here’s our world famous process broken down in ______ steps.
Step 1: Inventory Search and Information GatheringWe start our process at the website you are currently reading this on: boxtrucksjax.com. You can actually visit: https://boxtrucksjax.com/florida-box-trucks/ which will show each vehicle that we have for sale. The beautiful thing is that you can do the majority of your research right from your smartphone.
Take your time. Check out the photos, vehicle information. Consider some of the important factors of your purchase: miles, box size, liftgate, fuel type. Everything is right there. And a member of our staff is always available to chat right on the website, if you need help.
At this stage, it’s also important to do some general research and get a very specific list of qualifications that you are looking for for your next truck. For example: if you are planning on running Amazon routes at https://relay.amazon.com/?utm_source=google&utm_medium=cpc&utm_campaign=search_southeast_conversionia, then you need to know beforehand which vehicle size Amazon is going to require for their loads.
Our website offers many tools to give you all the information you need such as: payment calculator and multi view. And don’t forget to have a little fun. This purchase is something you can get excited about!
Step 2: Dealership IntroductionThis stage is where you are going to meet a member of our team (probably me, Dylan). We love helping our customers and take pride in our full transparency process. So any questions you may have… ask away!
You can give us a call at 904-900-1467. We always like to get to know our customers and understand their unique problems before just submitting their application. So don’t be afraid to give us a call so we can get to work for you.
Step 3: The ApplicationYou can submit your application right from your phone at https://boxtrucksjax.com/credit-application/. It is a fully secured application that only takes about 2 minutes. So just go ahead and fill it out and just sit tight, because the next step is the best part!
Step 4: The ApprovalOnce we get your finance application, we can get to work on getting you approved with a bank. We work with many different lenders who offer a wide array of finance options. We pride ourselves on taking our time with your application, and problem solving on your behalf. We truly want you to be happy with the numbers, so you can be more successful.
This part of the process can take anywhere from 10 minutes to 24 hours. So please be patient, but you can be sure that we are doing everything we can for you. Disclaimer: Financing is based on credit and income and subject to outside lender approval. We cannot get everyone approved all the time.
Step 5: Selection and Test DriveThis is where it gets juicy! Now we can finally select a truck and hit the road. Once we have the approval, you can go ahead and head over to our location at 3955 St. Augustine Rd. Jacksonville, FL 32207. Now we can walk the lot, go over truck options in person.
Once we have selected the perfect truck for you, it’s time for a test drive. Take it for a spin and make sure you are very happy with the performance of the truck.
Step 6: Paperwork and InsuranceThe final step is the formality of the paperwork or insurance. This process usually takes 30 minutes to 1 hour. This where we will go over all the finer details of your finance agreement and answer any questions you may have.
Insurance on box trucks can be tricky sometimes: so we recommend starting with a quote from https://www.progressivecommercial.com/lp/progressive-brand/?code=9714200001&phonenumber=8776567707&se=google&gad_source=1&gclid=CjwKCAiA4smsBhAEEiwAO6DEjaCMB2CQ_fi6s7i7RbTQQ9v443oedimsEo_O_WVMdt8a6QEgSWZYIBoCZNcQAvD_BwE
We’ll be happy to help you get the right coverage, it’s what we do!
So that is it! That is our process in a nutshell. We hope to see you soon. And again, we wish you the best of luck in 2024 from Box Trucks Jax!

- Comments Off on How To Choose The Right Size Box Truck For Your Business
So, you’re in the market for a box truck. You’ve got items to move, deliveries to make, or goods to transport. But there’s a crucial question looming over your decision: What size box truck do you need? It’s a bit like Goldilocks finding the right porridge—not too big, not too small, but just right. Let’s break down the main sizes: the 12-foot, 16-foot, and 26-foot box trucks, to help you make that perfect choice.
12-Foot Box Truck: Compact and NimbleThink of the 12-foot box truck as the compact city car of the box truck world. It’s perfect for small-scale moves or deliveries within city limits. If you’re dealing with a studio or one-bedroom apartment move, or you have a modest load of goods for delivery, this might just be your sweet spot.
Best Suited For
- Small apartment moves
- Local deliveries
- Light to moderate loads
Considerations
- Limited space for larger furniture or multiple rooms
- Less ideal for long-distance hauling or larger moves
Stepping up a bit in size, the 16-foot box truck offers a touch more space without being overwhelmingly large. If you’re moving a two-bedroom home or need to transport several rooms’ worth of furniture, this size provides a bit more breathing room. It strikes a balance between maneuverability and capacity.
Best Suited For
- Small to medium-sized apartment moves
- Local or regional deliveries
- Multiple rooms or moderate-sized loads
Considerations
- More challenging to navigate in tight urban areas
- Not ideal for massive loads or extensive furniture sets
The big daddy of box trucks, the 26-footer, offers substantial space and hauling power. If you’re moving a full house or need to transport substantial inventory for a business, this is where you’re likely to find the space you need. However, with great space comes great responsibility—this size requires more expertise in handling due to its size and weight.
Best Suited For
- Large house moves
- Long-distance hauls
- Bulkier and heavier loads
Considerations
- Challenging to maneuver in tight spaces or congested areas
- Requires more expertise in handling and driving

- Comments Off on Box Truck Insurance 101: Get The Coverage You Need Without Overpaying

Hello my fellow entrepreneurs! I’m Dylan, the finance manager at Box Trucks of Jacksonville. Today, I’m going into the world of box truck insurance! Just trust me, it’s crucial to understand, especially here in sunny, stormy Florida. So, buckle up as we explore the ins and outs of insuring your box truck, and why it might be more challenging in the sunshine state.
The Basics of Box Truck InsuranceSo what exactly is box truck insurance? Well, it’s your safety net, your peace of mind, and your financial safeguard in case anything goes wrong.
Commercial truck insurance is a lot different than regular auto insurance. To the insurance company, there is a lot more liability in insuring a commercial truck for a business.
Your box truck is a huge investment and your money maker, so you don’t want to shortchange yourself when it comes to protection. Whether you’re running your small business in Jacksonville, Orlando, Miami, Tampa, Atlanta or beyond, you’ll want to make sure your box truck is protected.
What’s Covered?Box truck insurance is typically broken down into different types of coverage, including:
1. Liability Insurance: This covers injuries or damage caused by your box truck to others. It’s usually required by law.
2. Physical Damage Insurance: This one’s for your truck. It covers repairs if your box truck gets damaged in an accident, whether it’s your fault or not.
3. Cargo Insurance: If you’re hauling goods for others, this insurance protects the valuable cargo you’re transporting.
4. Medical Payments Insurance: Covers medical expenses for you and your passengers in case of an accident.
5. Uninsured/Underinsured Motorist Insurance: Protects you if you’re hit by someone who doesn’t have insurance or enough insurance.
Why Florida Makes Insuring Your Truck TrickyFlorida’s geography makes it more susceptible to natural disasters, particularly hurricanes. And insurance companies are well aware of this fact.
Higher Risk = Higher Premiums
Insurance providers in Florida, including in major cities like Jacksonville, Orlando, Tampa and Miami, are cautious due to the hurricane risk. This can result in higher premiums compared to many other states. But don’t let that scare you off. With a bit of knowledge, you can still find reasonable rates.
Deductibles and Hurricane DeductiblesLittle known fact – many insurance policies in Florida have separate hurricane deductibles. This means that if your box truck suffers damage due to a hurricane, you might have to pay a higher deductible before your coverage kicks in. It’s crucial to understand these deductibles and plan your finances accordingly.
Mitigating the RiskTo help lower your insurance costs in Florida, you can:
1. Invest in Safety: Install safety features on your box truck, like anti-theft devices or GPS tracking, to reduce the risk of theft and accidents. This could result in insurance discounts.
2. Secure Storage: When not in use, park your box truck in a secure, hurricane-resistant location.
3. Maintain a Clean Record: Safe driving and a clean record can help lower your premiums over time.
4. Shop Around: Don’t settle for the first quote you receive. Compare rates from different insurers to find the best deal.
Jacksonville and Beyond: Insurance for Small BusinessesNow that we’ve covered the Florida angle, let’s talk about how small businesses can benefit from box truck insurance.
Tailored Coverage for Small BusinessesIf you’re a small business owner, you can often customize your box truck insurance to suit your unique needs. For example: a business that hauls expensive, valuable goods is going to need higher cargo coverage.
Protecting Your LivelihoodYour box truck is more than just a vehicle, it’s also directly tied to your income. Without it, you might not be able to operate. That’s why having the right insurance is vital. It ensures that even if the unexpected happens, like an accident or theft, you can get back on the road and continue serving your customers.
I just had a random thought. You’re going to want to ask your insurance agent about rental coverage! This way, if your truck goes down for some reason, you can just get in a rental that same day! There’s nothing worse than having your business come to a screeching halt.
The Bottom Line: Box Trucks Jax is Here To Help!Remember, while insuring your box truck in Florida might have its unique challenges due to the hurricane factor, it’s all about finding the right balance between coverage and cost. So, shop around, compare rates, and find the insurance that works best for your box truck and your business.
A good place to start is Progressive! You can get started here:

Now if you found this overwhelming, don’t worry! At Box Trucks Jax, we don’t mind helping! We actually have a few insurance contacts that can get you the lowest quotes in minutes. So don’t hesitate to call us if you have any insurance questions or need our help!

- Comments Off on The Top 5 Box Truck Accessories Every Owner Needs To Consider

Box trucks serve numerous industries, from delivery services to mobile businesses. The great thing is that you can make your box truck so much more functional to suite your exact business needs. Introducing accessories! In this blog post, we’ll delve into the top five accessories that every owner should consider for their box truck, starting with liftgates!. These accessories can enhance safety, organization, and productivity, making your box truck a more valuable asset to your business.
1. Box Truck Lift GatesA box truck liftgate is arguably one of the most essential accessories for a box truck. It simplifies the process of loading and unloading heavy or bulky items, reducing the risk of injury to drivers and workers. There are different types of lift gates, including hydraulic, tuck-away, and rail-style options. The choice depends on your specific needs and budget.
Hydraulic lift gates are popular due to their ease of use and reliability. They’re capable of lifting heavy loads and are ideal for businesses involved in transporting goods that require specialized handling, such as appliances, furniture, or construction materials.
There is nothing worse than having to offload something huge and heavy by trying to guide it down a ramp! A liftgate can be a game changer for your daily workload. If you need to shop for a liftgate, I would start by visiting hhttps://www.tommygate.com/liftgates/flatbed-and-van/.
2. Shelving Systems: Optimize Your Cargo SpaceA cluttered box truck can lead to a whole bunch of wasted time. Shelving systems offer a practical solution to keep your cargo organized and secure while you’re on the road. These shelves are designed to maximize your space, while keeping everything nice and tighty!
Your shelving options include: adjustable shelves, drawers, and cabinets. Depending on your business needs, you can customize your shelving system to accommodate tools, equipment, inventory, or other essentials. In addition to a box truck liftgate, an organized truck not only saves time but also reduces the risk of damage to your cargo during transportation.
3. Security Features: Protecting Your InvestmentSecurity is paramount when it comes to box trucks, especially if they carry valuable cargo. Investing in security accessories can keep your assets safe and give you peace of mind.
Consider installing features such as alarm systems, GPS tracking devices, and security locks. These technologies can deter theft and help you recover your vehicle and cargo in case of theft. With the rise of remote monitoring capabilities, you can even receive real-time alerts and track the location of your box truck through your smartphone or computer.
4. E-Track Systems: Versatile Cargo RestraintAn E-Track system is a great accessory to keep your assets secure if they are too big to fit onto shelving. They consist of vertical tracks mounted on the walls of your box truck, complemented by various accessories like hooks, straps, and bars. This is great because it offers a flexible working system, with multiple tie-down points for securing cargo. E-track systems are a must-have for businesses involved in transporting goods that require secure anchoring during transit. Along with a box truck liftgate, it’s the easiest way to ensure your cargo remains safe.
Whether you’re moving furniture, appliances, or machinery, e-track systems ensure that your cargo stays in place, reducing the risk of damage and accidents. They offer flexibility in positioning tie-down points, allowing you to adapt to different load sizes and shapes.
5. Interior Lighting: Illuminating Your WorkspaceProper lighting is often overlooked but plays a crucial role in a box truck’s functionality. Adequate interior lighting ensures that you can work efficiently, even in low-light conditions. It’s particularly important if you need to access your cargo at night or in poorly lit areas. Especially if you have a liftgate on your box truck, you’re going to want a strong lighting system so you can see what you’re doing.
LED interior lighting is an energy-efficient choice that provides bright, consistent illumination throughout your box truck’s interior. It’s long-lasting and doesn’t generate as much heat as traditional lighting options, reducing the risk of fire hazards. Additionally, LED lights are available in various configurations, including strip lights, dome lights, and spotlights, allowing you to customize your lighting setup to suit your specific needs.
ConclusionInvesting in the right box truck accessories can significantly improve your vehicle’s functionality, safety, and overall value to your business. Box truck liftgates, shelving systems, security features, e-track systems, and interior lighting are among the top accessories that every box truck owner should consider.
Before making any accessory purchases, assess your specific business needs and budget constraints. Customizing your box truck with these accessories can not only enhance its performance but also contribute to the success of your operations. Remember that a well-equipped box truck is a key asset that can help you stand out in the competitive world of transportation and logistics.
As always, if you have any questions about what type of accessories can be available on your box truck, you can give us a call anytime at: 904-900-1467.

- Comments Off on 8 Box Truck Maintenance Tips To Keep Your Fleet On The Road

Box trucks are the workhorses of many small businesses these days. If you are facing box truck repairs, you could be out of income for weeks or months to come. To ensure the smooth operation of your business, proper maintenance is crucial. In this blog, we’ll go over the essential box truck maintenance tips that will save you a ton of headaches down the line.
1. Regular InspectionsPerforming regular inspections is really the foundation of any maintenance routine. That way, you can save yourself the headache of dealing with box truck repairs before they ever even happen. You should set up daily inspections to look for any issues before they occur. Look for signs of wear and tear, leaks, loose components, and any visible damage. Addressing minor problems early can prevent major breakdowns and keep your box trucks on the road. You might want to think about pre-trip and/or post-trip inspections on a daily basis.
2. Fluid Checks and ChangesProper fluid levels are very important for the performance of your box trucks. Regularly check and change engine oil, transmission fluid, brake fluid, coolant, and power steering fluid. These fluids play a crucial role in lubricating, cooling the vehicle. This is a simple step that hardly takes any time or effort at all and will help avoid so many costly repairs on your box truck.
3. Tire Maintenance
Well-maintained tires are essential for safety and fuel efficiency. Check tire pressure regularly and ensure they are inflated to the manufacturer’s recommendations. Rotate tires at regular intervals to promote even wear and extend their lifespan. Don’t forget to inspect the treads for signs of uneven wear.
4. Brakes and Suspension
The braking system is a vital safety component in any vehicle. Regularly inspect the brake pads, rotors, and brake lines for wear and damage. Address any issues to ensure reliable stopping power. Additionally, check the suspension system for signs of wear and replace worn-out components.
5. Electrical System
Modern box trucks rely on their electrical systems for various functions, from lighting to powering the vehicle’s onboard tech. Regularly check the battery’s condition, clean the terminals, and test the charging system. Address any electrical issues promptly to prevent unexpected breakdowns. This is one of the most expensive box truck repairs that you could face.
6. Cooling System
Overheating can cause significant engine damage. Ensure that the cooling system is working properly by checking the coolant level, inspecting hoses for leaks, and ensuring the radiator and cooling fan are in good condition. Regularly flush and replace the coolant as recommended by the manufacturer.
7. Air Filters
Air filters play a crucial role in maintaining the engine’s performance and efficiency. You don’t wan tot have to fork over thousands and thousand to repair your box truck engine. Regularly inspect and replace both the engine air filter and the cabin air filter. A clean air filter prevents contaminants from entering the engine and ensures proper airflow.
8. Regular Professional Servicing
While many maintenance tasks can be performed in-house, it’s essential to schedule regular professional servicing. Experienced mechanics can diagnose potential issues that might not be obvious during routine inspections. Professional servicing also ensures that your box trucks are in compliance with safety and emissions regulations.
Conclusion
Proper box truck repairs and maintenance are a fundamental aspect of your day to day operation. By following these essential maintenance tips, you can keep your box truck fleet in top condition, minimize downtime, and extend the lifespan of your vehicles. Remember that preventive maintenance not only saves you money in the long run but also ensures the safety of your drivers and the timely delivery of goods to your customers.

Finding the right box truck for sale is harder than it sounds. Even in a large city, there are usually only a handful of dealerships that specialize in box trucks, cargo vans, 26 foot trucks, etc. It might take a few hours of research to find the commercial truck dealers you might want to work with. - Comments Off on 5 Reasons To Stop Renting & Start Owning Your Own Box Truck

Hello! It’s Dylan here from Box Trucks of Jacksonville. If you’re a small business owner who is currently renting box trucks to get the job done, I’m here to let you in on a little secret…
Renting sucks!! Okay maybe you already knew that. But I actually meet people all the time who are stuck in the rental rat race & they don’t know how to get out.
In this blog post, I’m going to give you 5 reasons why owning a box truck is a better move than renting. I’m also going to show you exactly how to get out of the rental rat race, once and for all!
Reason # 1. Financial Efficiency
I want to tell you a mind blowing story that perfectly illustrates why I am so passionate about my job.
Back in 2015, I met a customer who was paying $700 per week renting a box truck for his delivery business. It took me 1 hour to sell him a comparable truck for $535 MONTHLY PAYMENT!
If you calculate that out for a whole year, it results in a $27,180 savings! Now you can see why I’m so in love with this gig of mine. This is what I live and breathe for. As a small business owner myself, I know that you work too hard to let all your profits go towards renting a truck.
That $27,000 should be going back towards building your business, or paying employees or a spontaneous trip to Vegas… Whatever floats your boat. The point is, that money should be going back in your pocket.
2. Freedom and Flexibility
Owning a box truck offers flexibility that renting box truck does not. There are no restrictions on usage hours, and you can personalize the truck to suit your needs. You can wrap it with your company information so it advertises for you, wherever the truck goes.
3. Reliable Access
Renting means you’re at the mercy of the rental company’s availability. During peak seasons, you may find it difficult to secure a truck on short notice. Owning a box truck ensures you always have your truck ready to go for you at a moment’s notice.
4. Asset Appreciation & Write Offs
I’ve already established that monthly trucking expenses more than quadruple when you’re renting box trucks as opposed to owning. But another thing to think about is this… your weekly rental bill is just going to thin air. Poof… There it goes. When you buy & finance your own box truck, your monthly payment will be going towards the principle of the truck, and one day you won’t have a monthly payment at all. Also, keep in mind that you can write off your monthly trucking expenses on your taxes.
5. Business Growth
Finally, owning a box truck can be a stepping stone to business growth. Having your own vehicle allows you to take on more clients, deliver faster services, and expand your business operations. Think about it… what would it do for your business if you invested that $27,000 right back into employees, equipment or trucking. It’s an investment that will fuel your growth. And all you have to do is stop renting box trucks.
Technically speaking, you could have a fleet of 4 trucks on the road for the price of 1 renting. It’s a no brainer.
Now that I’ve spilled the beans on all the reasons renting is such a bad idea, I want to tell you about the alternative.
You’re going to need to find a trustworthy commercial truck dealer that offers flexible finance options. They are going to have to have an excellent selection of trucks and a helpful sales staff. And you’re going to want to work with a finance manager who really knows what he’s doing, because commercial finance is tricky business.
If only such a dealer existed..
Oh wait… that’s me. At Box Trucks of Jacksonville, we are the real deal. We actually care about helping people and it would be my pleasure to help get you out of the rental rat race, so you can start owning.
Now that I’ve told you all the reasons that renting box trucks is such a bad idea, let’s get into how you go about buying one. As I said earlier, commercial finance is no joke. But I will be there every step of the way. First we’ll get started on an application to see what you qualify for. I will work hard to get the best rates and terms that I can for you.
From there we will pick out a truck. We’re going to look at all of my available inventory, and take our time to pick out the perfect truck for you. I don’t care how long it takes, or how many trucks you test drive. I’m here to make you happy.
Next will be the paperwork process, which only takes about 30 minutes total!
I will even help you acquire insurance, so you can get on the road with peace of mind. I will go all out for you.
